Perception… our perception IS our reality and the great news is that you can change your perception and therefore change your reality. Essentially, you can change your LIFE!

I held a little contest yesterday… guess my weight. If you missed it, check out my Stephanie Keenan FitLife fan page on Facebook.

How much should a fitness model weigh? As you can tell from the guesses of 124 to 169, there was a wide range of estimations! And some of you may have been surprised by what my scale said… 157 in this photo to be exact.

How Much do Fitness Models Really Weigh?

As humans, we are by nature goal-seeking beings. We are always searching for a goal and locking into it so it is not surprising that so many people tie the number on the scale to their fitness goals.

In fact, the number on the scale seems to be a favorite measurement but as you can see from the 40+ pound range of guesses that this number is not only an inaccurate way of truly measuring progress and more importantly HEALTH, but this measure changes when we gain and lose muscle, water, and yes fat. I weighed 153 this morning… does that mean I really lost 4 pounds in 1 day? Well, technically I suppose BUT I did not shed 4 pounds of fat overnight.

How many of you have had a bad day, week, month, year? OMG! Because of the number on the scale?

So weight can be used as a metaphor for how we live life… How many limiting beliefs do you have? We all have them…

We work on these fitness belief systems every day in the SKFitLife Challenge and we are expanding our examination of thought patters to include even more life scenarios.

When you change your THOUGHTS, you change your LIFE.
