Morning Check-In Pics: Plenty of evidence to keep me going. I highly recommend taking daily photos. I don’t own a scale so I’m not sure how much “weight” I lost, but the photos told me enough to want to keep going.

How we maintained our tighter, leaner physiques during and after vacation…

Beach workouts and clean eating!IMG_1327[1]

IMG_1317[1]Once we completed the cleanse, neither one of us had any cravings so eating clean was easy and drinking alcohol wasn’t even appealing. Over the course of the 8 day trip, we each had a total of 6 drinks (excluding the wedding). That means we had a glass of wine a few of the nights and the traditional/obligatory drink at good ‘ole Sloppy Joe’s Bar.

We got our sweat on every day through our beach workouts with kettle bells (yay road trips and the ability to pack them with us!), running on the beach or around the island of Key West, and during all of the fun water activities we did.

A few people have commented on how expensive the 9 Day Isagenix Cleanse is ($148 plus shipping and tax… which is actually pretty inexpensive compared to other cleanses out there). We ran the numbers and not only did we not spend any more money DURING the cleanse (reduced grocery and dining out bills), but we saved money POST cleanse too! Getting rid of the desire to drink alcohol makes a HUGE difference in dining out, vacationing, and even drinking at home.

IMG_1424[1]Those saved dollars really added up and covered most of our fun activities! IMG_1442[1]

Think about it… a couple hours of drinking next to the pool would easily cost $100 (1 drink per hour… for 4 hours… for 2 people… at an average of $10 per drink… plus tip) and that is if you didn’t eat any food! Our 2 hour guided stand-up paddle tour was only $40 per person and the physical activity felt great!

Take that math and apply it to all the meals for the whole week… it REALLY adds up quickly! I’m not saying that you can’t enjoy yourself… I just want to point out what the financial calculation looks like in addition to making you feel less than chipper and ready to explore.

I do this calculation on a pretty frequent basis after I calculated how much my clients were saving each month when they kicked a daily Starbucks habit that was no longer serving them ($5 per drink X 7 days per week X 4 weeks per month… that is $140 per month and that is if you are only having one drink per day… I know people who have 2 or sometimes 3!)

Now what???

You may have watched my first video where I gave my review of the Isagenix 9 Day Cleanse but if you missed it, you can watch it right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbjlkOAO0eM

You will see in that video that Stephen and I are both still using the shakes for 1-2 meals each day (just like I have been doing since 2010), but the difference is that we are both doing the cleanse one day per week… usually Mondays. We are both so busy on Mondays that we don’t really miss the food, it gives our digestive systems a break, gets rid of any of the sugar cravings that may be hanging around from weekend cheats and treats, and helps to keep portions in check.

I have another photo and video shoot coming up in just a few weeks and I have to tell you what a relief it is to have a product and system that will expedite my preparation and won’t require weeks on end of tilapia and asparagus! (Yes… these are the things I typically have to do to get my body ready for a photo shoot.)
